Rajma's recipe is a light, tasty, and creamy Punjabi dish that has become the favorite food of many of us. There is nothing better than eating tasty rajma curry with well-cooked rice at home. Still, only a few of us know how to cook this beautiful and one of the most liked north Indian dishes. So, in this blog, I will reveal how you can cook rajma at home with outstanding taste.

Steps to cook Rajma

Add ¾ cup or desired cup of rajma in a bowl and leave them for 8 hours in lots of water to get soaked and rise.

You must make sure then you do not cover the soaked beans, especially in summer, because they can get sticky.

Take a pan, put it on flame, and heat it with 2 to 3 tsp ghee or oil. Then add bay leaves, cumin seeds, and also add ginger and garlic paste. Saute until it gets mixed properly and provides a beautiful aroma. Add chopped onions and saute it when it gets brown, then add tomato puree or chopped tomatoes. This time is to add 1/5 tsp turmeric, red chili powder, 1tsp garam masala, ¼ coriander, and salt as per your choice.

Mix this masala until it gets thick, and start sticking with the surface of the pan. You can get a raw smell and tenderness, so to solve this issue, add a little water to maintain the consistency and get some curry. When it gets done, you can sprinkle the ¾ tsp Kasuri and mix it properly. You can also add 2 tsp cream. After adding cream, which is an optional step, you can serve boiled rice and enjoy eating with your family.
